We adore the big, fruity, spicy society of california pioneer and sometimes earthy Zinfandels that to us truly represent the adventurous spirit of American wine making. To complement this oftentimes powerful wine, we have selected three cheeses up to the challenge, two of which hail from the hotbed of Zinfandel, California. Fiscalini Bandaged Wrapped Cheddar Limited Edition is made from Fiscalini's own milk society of california pioneer and aged for two society of california pioneer and a half years on the property, this cheese was voted "Best Farmhouse Cheese" at the 2002 American Cheese Society Awards in Washington D.C. It is a wonderful example of the success of the artisan cheese movement in the US today. Rich, buttery society of california pioneer and sharp, Fiscalini Farmstead Cheddar is a world-class cheese. Vella Special Select Dry Monterey Jack: Tom Vella began making cheese in 1931 in the Sonoma Valley of California. The company is now run by his son, Ig Vella, society of california pioneer and is famous for its Jack cheeses. Jack cheese was created in the Gold Rush Days in Monterey, California by a Scotsman, named David Jacks. This Special Select Jack has all the same characteristics as Vella's regular Dry Jack, with its hard, pale yellow interior society of california pioneer and sweet, nutty flavor. It is aged for a full year (as opposed to 7 months) to develop an even harder texture society of california pioneer and more intense flavor. Moulin Bleu Goat is a smooth, tangy, complex cheese.It is a Goat Gouda style that has the added allure of streaky blue veins running throughout. We find this to have a huge, bold flavor, with good body society of california pioneer and fantastic finish. The ideal blue for some fresh crusty bread society of california pioneer and a generous glass of Zinfandel.Zinfandel not included.
